YouSendIt is an online service for sending files and folders larger than email can handle. If you don’t have an account you can easily get one. Just sign up with an email address and password and you’re in. The Sign Up tab shows a comparison of plans where you can choose the one that suits you.
There is now a simple and convenient way to send and receive files right on your desktop called YouSendIt Express. It’s compatible with both Windows and Mac. Download a small file and install. Then right-click on any file:
This box will open where you can sign in and manage all your account options.
Browse for the desired files and folders and Send It.
YouSendIt accounts come in 4 flavors: Corporate Suite, Business Plus, Pro and Lite. The choices range from more-than-most-of-us-would-ever-need to enough. The Pro account is $9.99 a month and the Lite is free. Only single files or zip folders can be sent with the Lite account. You can also pay a little more for extra service on a one-time basis. These are completely optional and only there for your convenience if you need them.
